Mississippi Teenager Saves Law enforcement Officer And 3 Other folks From Drowning

MOSS Point, Pass up (AP) — Town officials are commending a Mississippi teen for preserving a police officer and a few teenage girls from drowning in the Pascagoula River.

Corion Evans, 16, jumped into the river close to 2:30 a.m. Sunday soon after he saw a car or truck drive off the I-10 boat start. The driver of the vehicle stated she was following her GPS and did not know she was headed for the water’s edge, in accordance to a Moss Issue Police Office news release Wednesday.

Evans and one of his mates, Karon ″KJ″ Bradley, jumped in and assisted get the teenagers inside the automobile on to the roof, WLOX-Television set described.

Moss Place police officer Gary Mercer was known as to the scene and claimed Evans was previously in the h2o when he arrived. Mercer said he jumped into the river and commenced helping one particular of the young adults in advance of she panicked and brought about him to go underwater. Evans then served Mercer and the teenager attain the shore.
